Grammar: using 好 (hǎo)

The most common meaning 好 (hǎo) is good, but it’s also can have a different meaning like these

Arti dari kata好 (hǎo) yang paling umum adalah baik/bagus, tetapi好 (hǎo) juga bisa mempunyai arti lain seperti berikut:

a.Using 好 (hǎo) to mean “very, so” / Penggunaan 好 (hǎo) berarti “ sangat”

Simple Form :好 (hǎo) + Adjective

Bentuk Sederhana : 好 (hǎo) + Kata Sifat

1. 今天天气好热 (jīn tiān tiān qì hǎo rè)

The weather is so hot today
Cuaca hari ini sangat panas

2. 那位小姐好漂亮(nà wèi xiǎo jiě hǎo piāo liàng)

That young lady is very beautiful

Nona itu sangat cantik

3. 这棵树好高(zhè kē shù hǎo gāo)

This tree is very tall

Pohon ini sangat tinggi

b.Using好 (hǎo) /不好( bù hǎo ) to mean “ easy / difficult”

Penggunaan好 (hǎo) /不好( bù hǎo ) untuk menunjukkan “ mudah/ sulit”

Form : 好 (hǎo) /不好( bù hǎo ) + Verb Action Indicator

Bentuk : 好 (hǎo) /不好( bù hǎo ) + Kata Kerja Keterangan

Example(Contoh):

1. 中国话不好学(zhōng guó huà bù hǎo xué)

Chinese is difficult to learn
Bahasa Mandarin sulit untuk dipelajari

2. 这个问题好回答(zhè gè wèn tí hǎo huí dá)

This question is easy to answer.

Penggunaan好 (hǎo) /不好( bù hǎo ) berarti “ disukai/tidak disukai oleh panca indera kita”

Form : 好 (hǎo) /不好( bù hǎo )+ Verb Sense Indicator

Bentuk : 好 (hǎo) /不好( bù hǎo )+ Kata kerja yang berhubungan dengan panca indera

Example (contoh):

好吃 (hǎo chī) = delicious ( for food) / enak (untuk makanan)

好喝(hǎo hē) = delicious (for drinks)/ enak (untuk minuman)

好看(hǎo kàn) = good looking, nice / enak dilihat, ganteng, cantik, bagus

好听(hǎo tīng) = pleasant to hear/ enak didengar

好闻(hǎo wén) = smell good/ enak untuk dicium(pakai hidung)

a. 意大利面很好吃(yì dà lì miàn hěn hǎo chī)

Spaghetti is very delicious

Mie spaghetti sangat enak

b. 这首歌不好听(zhè shǒu gē bù hǎo tīng)

This song is not pleasant to listen

Lagu ini tidak enak di dengar

c. 好看的水果不一定好吃 (hǎo kàn dí shuǐ guǒ bù yī dìng hǎo chī)

Nice looking fruits are not always delicious

Buah yang enak dilihat belum tentu enak di makan
